Manarola is a hamlet of Riomaggiore and it belongs to the Cinque Terre. It estonishes the tourist for its colourful landscape and typical Genoese houses-towers. Built on the cliff, it falls on the sea. Its narrow streets, salt and sea scent make it unique.
Wine terracings surrounding the village and the wine museum are very beautiful.
The most famous among its beautiful naturalist paths is the Love Path which links Manarola to Riomaggiore. It is 1 km long.
Among the monuments, St Lawrence’s Church, the White Campanile, an old sighting tower, the Oratory of Disciplinati in the church dedicated to Our Lady of Assumption, and Lazzaretto Palace. The best way to get Manarola is by train. If you prefer travel by car, there is a car park in the city centre, with fee and few parking spaces.
